Printable Creations | Done in Love

This past weekend, I went to a wedding for two of my friends from college. I had so much fun getting to celebrate with them as they vowed to spend their life together. Both the ceremony and reception were beautiful. I also got the chance to see some of my friends that I haven’t seen in a while. Overall, the weekend was an awesome and fun celebration of love. It was a shock to wake up Sunday morning to the news of the Orlando shooting, especially after just reading a couple of days before about Christina Grimmie’s death at her concert in Orlando. Prayers for all involved in both tragic situations from the victims to the shooters and all the families of those people. So this week, I wanted to share this bible verse:

“Let all that you do be done in love.” -1 Corinthians 16:14

The verse that precedes that says “Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.” I like these two verses because they give us very straightforward instructions on how to live our lives in this world. The world will always throw curveballs at us, but it is how we react to and come back from those curveballs that is important. We just have to follow what Paul wrote to the Corinthians and keep alert, stand firm, be courageous, be strong, and most of all, love one another.

Each week I design and post a new Printable Creation that will be available for free to my readers. You can subscribe below to get this week's and all future Printable Creations in your inbox every Wednesday.

Creating the Creation

Tools I used: blob brush, rectangle tool, pen tool

Not much changed between the original sketch and the final printable. I shifted the color scheme to pink rather than red, but I think the combination looks nicer. A white background ended up being the best choice for the background color with the choice of the word colors. I didn’t want to leave the white plain though. I added the diagonal gray stripes to add some visual interest without overwhelming the text. I then just added a darker pink shadow behind the bold and script words to make them stand out from the page a bit.

Hope you enjoy this week’s printable!

Each Printable Creation will only be available until the next Wednesday when I post a new printable. But the printable won't be gone forever! Once a new week rolls around and I post a new printable, I add the previous printable to my Etsy shop.
