Printable Creations | All the Paint!

FeaturedImage_GreatBigCanvas.jpg

From carpe diem to YOLO, there are lots of terms we use for living life to the fullest. I am definitely all for going on adventures in new places and trying new things without going overly crazy. The main things I have on my bucket list are travel related--places I want to visit and explore. I have had the opportunity to travel to many places that I wasn’t expecting to have the opportunity to do. I got to spend a semester in Australia and go to England over a spring break (somehow I  managed these both in the same school year!). The quote this week goes along with the YOLO idea:

“Life is a great big canvas; throw all the paint on it you can.” -Danny Kaye

We start life with a blank canvas that we then can fill with adventures as we grow up. So take advantage of the opportunities you get or the time of life you are in and throw all the paint you can on your life canvas.

Each week I design and post a new Printable Creation that will be available for free to my readers. You can subscribe below to get this week's and all future Printable Creations in your inbox every Wednesday.

Free inspirational printable from Raye Allison Creations. This week's quote is "Life is a great big canvas; throw all the paint on it you can." Printables are great for home or office decor, classrooms, church bulletin boards, and so much more!

Creating the Creation

Tools I used: blob brush, rectangle tool, line tool, symbol sprayer

*I tried a different screen recorder this week and had a bunch of issues with it so sadly I don’t have a video, but I will still write about my process.

After first reading the quote, i immediately wanted to have it written on a canvas sitting on an easel. Once I got the text written out with the blob brush tool and arranged, I then had to figure out what I wanted to do color wise. Using the symbol sprayer tool, I added the paint splatter to the canvas and made them the primary colors. At one point, I had the whole canvas covered in paint splatter, but I didn’t any of the text colors I was trying. I moved the paint splatter to the edges of the canvas and made the text white with a small black stroke and then rainbow-colored shadows. So colorful, I love it! Sometimes it just takes some experimentation.

Each Printable Creation will only be available until the next Wednesday when I post a new printable. But the printable won't be gone forever! Once a new week rolls around and I post a new printable, I add the previous printable to my Etsy shop.
